Lecture on euthanasia set April 20

2:50 p.m., April 14, 2004--Victoria Alexander, co-founder of the Dactyl Foundation, will explore euthanasia and its implications in a lecture set for 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, in 205 Gore Hall.

In her lecture “Euthanasia, Fate and Science,” Alexander will address the various spiritual and scientific conflicts an individual may face when confronted with euthanasia. Alexander has written the book “Naked Singularity” and has produced several video documentaries about science and the humanities.

The Dactyl Foundation was founded in 1996 in New York City to support efforts to broaden accepted aesthetic standards in art and philosophy.

The free public lecture is cosponsored by the Secular Student Alliance, the Civil Liberties Union and Students in the Public Interest. For more information, call Mike Fox at 837-8615.
