Two students robbed on north Green

12:35 p.m., March 17, 2004--University Police are investigating the robbery of two UD students that occurred around 12:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 17, as they were walking to their residence hall on the north Green.

The students were approached by four men, two of whom were armed with handguns, who demanded money. The men took an undisclosed amount of money and a cell phone. Both students were forced to lie on the pavement, and one student scraped her knee as she knelt down.

The suspects left the area on foot, heading east on Delaware Avenue.

University and Newark Police searched the area after the robbery was reported, but the suspects could not be located.

Anyone with information should call Sgt. Wilson in University Police at 831-2222 or Delaware Crimestoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
