Newark Symphony Orchestra concert set March 7 3 p.m., March 4, 2004--The Newark Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert titled Visions of Valor at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, March 7, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. The concert will feature Symphony No. 8 Unfinished by Schubert, Alexander Nevsky by Prokofiev and Violin Concerto No. 5 by Vieuxtemps, featuring award-winning violinist Dana Weiderhold. Weiderhold was the 2003-04 College Division Winner in the Newark symphonys youth competition. The Delaware Valley Chorale will be featured in the performance of Prokovievs Alexander Nevsky. The program is made possible, in part, by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Delaware Division of the Arts. Tickets, available at the door, are $12 for the public, $10 for senior citizens, $6 for students and free for children 12 and younger.
