April 14 workshop addresses communication styles 3:38 p.m., April 13, 2004--A workshop on Differences in Communication Styles Between Latinos & European Americans will address cultural stereotyping through revealing anecdotes and barrier-busting activities on Wednesday, April 14. Led by acclaimed facilitator and communication expert William Cruz, the free workshop, which is set to begin at 5 p.m., in Room 217 Gore Hall, highlights communication styles between Latinos and Caucasians and explores solutions to prevent misunderstandings. The workshop, which is open to the public, is cosponsored by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the Office of Hispanic and Latin American Concerns and Multicultural Programs.
