Allen was in net for two victories as the Fightin Blue Hens downed CAA rivals James Madison University 2-1 on Friday night and Virginia Commonwealth University 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Allen made a total of nine saves in those games, including a key stop on a penalty stroke by James Madisons Amy Cordes with just 30 seconds remaining in that contest. The win over Virginia Commonwealth was her first career shutout.
For the season, Allen is 10-2 with a 1.42 goals against average and a .704 save percentage.
This is the second time Allen has received Rookie of the Week honors this season.
She is one of four Blue Hens to have earned CAA weekly honors through the course of the season. Fellow freshman Katie Evans was named Rookie of the Week earlier this season, and juniors Jessi Balmer and Erica LaBar have each earned Player of the Week honors.
