YoUDee gets a pressure check

8:45 p.m., Sept. 10, 2003--YoUDee gets a blood pressure reading taken by UD nursing students Nancy Link, HNS 2004, (center) and Bethany Hall-Long, associate professor of nursing (right), while student Christina Ellis, HNS 2004, (left) looks on.

The nurses checked blood pressures at Delaware Stadium during UD’s opening football game Saturday, Sept. 7, as part of game sponsor AstraZeneca’s and the University’s campaign to encourage people to sign up for the American Heart Association Heart Walk, Sunday, Sept. 14, on the Wilmington Riverfront.

The University still needs faculty, staff and students for its teams and will provide students with free transportation to Wilmington and back. Anyone interested in walking can find information on the web at [www.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=23776], or call Marianne Carter, director of the UD’s Employee Wellness Center, at 831-1109.
