UDARF to visit Tri-State Bird Rescue

3:46 p.m., April 1, 2004--The UD Association of Retired Faculty (UDARF) will visit Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research’s Wildlife Clinic for a short presentation and tour at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, at 110 Possum Hollow Rd., Newark.

Staffed by wildlife veterinarians, wildlife rehabilitators and volunteers who receive training in bird care, the clinic is one of the largest rehabilitation facilities in the country, providing medical care for thousands of wild birds each year.

The tour is not handicapped-accessible, and pathways may be uneven with some steps and climbing required.

There is no cost, but reservations are required and may be made by calling Mary Pat Urbanik at 831-8823.
