12:27 a.m., Feb. 9, 2004--Sue Bogan, director of Dining Services, is the winner of Aramark’s top national award for campus service operations directors.

Aramark’s One Best Team Award focuses on recruiting, developing and retaining a diverse workforce made up of the best people. Awards are presented every two years to the best overall food service operation among Aramark’s 350 campus food service teams.

Bogan, who came to UD 2-1/2 years ago from Aramark’s Indiana University of Pennsylvania operation, said the award was so unexpected that the person sitting next to her at the convention dinner where it was presented had to elbow her to tip her off that the presenter was talking about her.

“Truly, this is a tribute to the entire campus Dining Services team, and they should be very proud of their performance,’’ Bogan said. “We have a very, very good team here. I couldn’t say enough about them. They are so committed to the University of Delaware, and that includes everyone — the management, the staff, all the hourly employees.’’

The Dining Services staff 58 management and supervisory staffers, 184 hourly employees, plus part-time and student workers.
