Set in Donegal, Ireland, in 1883, the gripping drama tells the story of a small community on the brink of irrevocable change. British soldiers and engineers enter the Irish town of Baile-Beag and attempt to Anglicize their Irish traditions and language. The two cultures come into conflict with the realization that language is central to basic identity, values and culture.
Translations can be seen at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 27 and 28 and March 1 and 14. Matinee performances are set for 12:30 p.m., March 1 and 16.
