May 6, 2003— Sheri D. Smith, 21, of Newark, died Saturday, May 3.

She worked in Public Safety at UD.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 West Stockton St., Elkton, Md. Visitation will begin at noon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a fund for Ms. Smith’s daughter: the Hailey D. Hovatter Educational Fund, c/o American Spirit Federal Credit Union, 1110 Elkton Rd., Newark, DE 19711.
