April 7, 2003 Robert Walton Crawford, of Ocean Pines, Md., formerly of Wilmington, died Thursday, April 3, in Christiana Hospital.
Mr. Crawford earned bachelor of arts degree in computer science at UD in 1990 at the age of 75.
He also held degrees from Amherst College (1935) and the Harvard Business School (1937).
Mr. Crawford worked for Monsanto Chemical in Springfield, Mass., for 27 years and at the DuPont Co. at Chestnut Run and the Experimental Station for 27 years, retiring at the age of 70.
He attended the Southern Delaware Academy of Lifelong Learning in Lewes for 10 years, receiving the Chairman's Award for Lifetime Achievement.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, April 7, at the Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Sharpley, Wilmington, where friends may call at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Myeloma Institute, 4301 West Markham, Slot 816, Little Rock, AR 72205.
