Free Mother's Day concert

1:30 p.m., May 6, 2003--UD’s Department of Music presents a special Mother’s Day concert, “Julie and Friends,” at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 11, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. Joining pianist Julie Nishimura are flutist Eileen Grycky, cellist Christopher Hutton and baritone Patrick Evans. Admission is free.

The concert features three pieces by Delaware Valley composer Ann Wyeth McCoy and includes the Delaware premiere of UD faculty composer Jennifer Barker’s 2002 piece “Geenyoch Ballant.” Also on the program are pieces by Philippe Gaubert and Charles Ives and arrangements of American classic songs.
