11:25 a.m., April 28, 2003--Former University of Delaware lacrosse star John Grant scored three goals and had six assists to lead the Rochester Knighthawks to a 16-13 victory over the Buffalo Bandits in the semifinals of the National Lacrosse League playoffs.
Rochester will meet the Toronto Rock for the championship of the professional indoor lacrosse league at 8 p.m., Saturday, May 3, at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y.
Grant, HNS 2000, led the team during the regular season with 46 goals and 53 assists. Rochester finished the regular season with a record of 12-4 and advance
d to the playoffs as champion of the NLL’s Central Division.
While at UD, Grant netted 96 goals and had 81 assists. He had 40 goals in 1998 and led the nation with 56 goals the following year.
