Sept. 30, 2002--Nominations are complete, and now is the time to vote for UD’s new Spirit Ambassadors, a diverse group of undergraduates who represent the best qualities of UD students.
A special online poll will run from 8 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, through 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8. The opinions of the UD community, including students, faculty and staff, will assist the Selection Committee in making the final Spirit Ambassador selections.
Spirit Ambassadors work to encourage school spirit through a variety of avenues, including interacting with alumni and supporting the Office of Alumni and University Relations by serving as student hosts at campus events.
Other functions include serving as an advisory board to help senior administrators keep in touch with student concerns, while representing and interacting with student groups and the student body.
The new Student Ambassadors will be announced and recognized at the Homecoming Rally on Friday, Oct. 11, and at halftime of the Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 12.
