UD's Shover wins second Rookie of Week award

Oct. 8, 2002--University of Delaware redshirt freshman goalkeeper Lindsay Shover has been named Colonial Athletic Association Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week. This is the second time Shover has been honored by the conference for her outstanding play.

Shover has not allowed a goal this season. She recorded two shutouts last week and raised her mark to 3-0-1 for the year.

She extended her shutout string to 337 minutes as Delaware and Virginia Commonwealth played to a 0-0 tie Sunday. Shover also recorded a shutout in a 3-0 win over UNC Wilmington on Oct. 4.

Shover averaged 3.5 saves over two games last week.

Delaware (6-3-1, 2-0-1 CAA) returns to action on Friday, Oct. 11, when it visits conference rival James Madison.
