Author and professor to speak on TV and Latinos

1:10 p.m., Nov. 14, 2002--Clara Rodriguez, author and professor of sociology at Fordham University College at Lincoln Center in New York City, will speak on “Latinos and Prime Time Television,” at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19, in 217 Gore Hall. The colloquium is sponsored by the Department of Sociology.

A recognized scholar in Puerto Rican and Latino studies, Rodriguez is the author of “Changing Race: Latinos, the Census and the History of Ethnicity in the United States” (2002), and she edited “Latin Looks: Images of Latinas and Latinos in the U.S. Media” (1997).
