Robinson opens Bach's Lunch Series

Marie Hadley Robinson, associate professor of music at the University of Delaware, was featured in a special musical celebration of Black History Month, which opened the spring Bach’s Lunch Series on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Bayard Sharp Hall.

Robinson was featured with Augustine Mercante, and the program also included Alan Cook and Valencio Jackson. Accompanist was Elaina Denney.

Songs included “De Gospel Train,” “Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child,” “Steal Away,” “Wade in De Water,” “Were You There,” “Great Day,” “Weepin’ Mary” and “Ride on, King Jesus.”

The next program in the Bach’s Lunch series, at 12:10 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, in Bayard Sharp Hall, will feature Triolet, an energetic chamber ensemble composed of UD music students.
