Power out in Rodney residence halls

4:16 p.m., Oct. 17, 2002--Two of the main power feeds to the Rodney residence and dining halls are out of service, and electricians and contractors are now on campus working on the problem, but it may be several hours before power can be restored. Fire and PDI systems at Rodney are operational. Residence Life staff are assisting students, and Public Safety personnel also are on the scene.

Students who normally eat at the Rodney Dining Hall may go to Pencader, and shuttle bus service will be available from 4:15-8:30 p.m. from Hillside Road. All other dining locations have been alerted to expect an increase in diners.
