UD to host 2001 Delaware Economic Outlook Conference

The 12th annual Delaware Economic Outlook Conference will be held from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the DuPont Country Club, Wilmington.

Hosted by the Delaware Small Business Development Center Network at the University of Delaware’s College of Business and Economic, the event includes a keynote address by New Castle County Chamber President Ronald Walker, who will be discussing the newly created New Castle County Economic Development Council.

Early morning sessions include "National Trends and Major Economic Indicators through 2008" by an economist from the United States Department of Labor; "Regional Economic Analysis" by Eleanor Craig, UD professor of economics; and "Outlook for the Delaware Counties" by Anirban Basu, economist, RESI, Towson University.

Other sessions include "The Bush Tax Cut: How Does It Look Today?" by Laurence Seidman, UD professor of economics, and remarks by Michael Ginzberg, dean of UD’s College of Business and Economics, and Clinton Tymes, director of the Delaware Small Business Development Center Network.
