3:51 p.m., Oct. 29, 2002--Advance registration for Winter Session on the web, offered for the first time this year, has been highly successful and is the preferred way to register--5,911 students used the web compared to 30 who used paper Scantron forms.
“This is a further indication of the value that students place on electronic communication for conducting their business at the University,” Susan Foster, vice president of information technologies, said.
Although a few students experienced problems, for the most part the feedback was positive. Their comments included:
“Registration has never been so easy!!!”
“The online form is great.”
“This is a great program.”
“Great time saver.”
“Outstanding,”
“I think this is a great addition to the University’s system.”
