May 24, 2002--Newark Nite, a popular festival in which Main Street is turned into a pedestrian mall, will be held Saturday, June 1.

There will be live music, as well as games, shopping and food, from 5-9:30 p.m.

The rain date is Saturday, June 8.

The event is sponsored by the city of Newark Department of Parks and Recreation and the Downtown Newark Partnership.
