Towson drops Delaware 18-4 in men’s lacrosse

University of Delaware men’s lacrosse goalkeeper Dave Mullen stopped 20 shots but was unable to hold off the Towson onslaught in an 18-4 Colonial Athletic Association loss on Saturday, March 23, at Towson’s Minnegan Stadium.

No. 10-ranked Towson (3-2, 1-0 in CAA) outshot the Hens 62-18.

Delaware (2-4, 0-2 in CAA) was led by Chris Bickley, with two goals. Ryan Metzbower and Matt Lehmann had one goal each.

The Blue Hens, who have played three straight top 10 teams on the road, will return home for the first time since March 5 when they host Ohio State at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 30, at Rullo Stadium.
