LIFE Fest 2002 set for Dec. 12 in Clayton Hall

3:05 p.m., Dec. 6, 2002--LIFE Fest 2002, a celebration of final projects that freshmen LIFE (Learning Integrated Freshman Experience) students have been working on during the fall semester, will be held from 1-3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, in 101 A/B Clayton Hall.

An academic enrichment program for first-year students, LIFE is designed to integrate academic and real-life work experiences by having students live and work together as part of a learning community.

LIFE clusters (groups of 16 or less students), are co-enrolled in courses organized around certain academic themes and enrichment activities. Students in the 22 LIFE clusters at UD live in designated residence halls and are involved in service learning projects, study/discussion groups and a final group-project designed by students.

For LIFE Fest 2002, these groups have been busy putting the final touches on projects ranging from presenting a Caribbean steel drums concert to the creation of a wireless network by the E-Bricks of the Internet cluster group.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 831-3330, send e-mail to [life-mail@udel.edu] or visit [www.udel.edu/life].
