12:05 p.m., Dec. 19, 2002--The University of Delaware mens lacrosse program and Head Coach Bob Shillinglaw will hold two boys indoor lacrosse clinics over the holidays at the Delaware Field House.
The Delaware Challenge Seven vs. Seven High School Team Tournament will be held Dec. 21-22 and the University of Delaware Lacrosse 2002 Winter Camp will be held Dec. 28-30. All proceeds support the UD mens lacrosse program.
The Delaware Challenge will be held from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Dec. 21-22. High school aged players can sign up as a team of 15-20 or can register independently and be placed on a team of other independent players. The cost is $65 and includes a camp T-shirt.
The Delaware Youth Lacrosse Winter Camp, for boys in third through eighth grades, will be held from 8:30 a.m.-noon, Dec. 28-30. The cost is $75 per person.
The camp is designed to accelerate the pace at which the normal player learns the game of lacrosse. Beginners will learn the basics of passing, catching, groundball play, shooting, playing defense and the rules of the game.
More advanced players will enhance their skills in stick handling, shooting, passing, dodging and playing defense. Games will be played at each session and every camper will receive a T-shirt.
For registration information, contact Shillinglaw at (302) 831-8661.
