Lane restrictions in Wilmington Nov. 29-30

Intermittent lane restrictions on Delaware Avenue from North Madison Street to West Street in Wilmington will be in effect Thursday and Friday, Nov. 29-30, according to the Delaware Department of Transportation.

Crews have been milling the roadway during off-peak hours, but in order to complete the project within the contract time frame, it is necessary to do the repaving work during daytime hours. This part of the work is expected to be completed by Dec. 17.

The work is part of the Delaware Avenue Gateway Project, a two-year joint project between the Department of Transportation, the Wilmington Area Planning Council and the City of Wilmington. The project will improve traffic in the area.
