UDŐs Iversen named CAA Basketball Player of the Week

12:15 p.m., Dec. 2, 2002--University of Delaware senior guard Ryan Iversen has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Ryan Iversen
Iversen, from Eden Prairie, Minn., recorded just the second triple double in Delaware history with 12 points, a career-high 17 rebounds and a career-high 11 assists in only 28 minutes as the Blue Hens defeated Long Island 87-58 on Sunday, Dec. 1.

The 17 rebounds are the most for a UD guard since 1998, and it marked the 17th time in 62 career games that the 6-foot 3-inch Iversen has topped the Hens in rebounding.

He also recorded his 100th career steal in the game, becoming the 18th player in school history to achieve that milestone. Iversen was 5-for-11 from the floor in the game and drained a pair of three-pointers.
