Police investigating assaults
 

Police are investigating four unrelated incidents that have occurred recently near the campus. At this time, there is no evidence that these crimes are related. In the early morning of Sunday, March 10, a woman was accosted while visiting the School Lane Apartments. Around 10:15 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, a female student was jogging on East Park Place near Chapel Street when she was grabbed from behind by a man wearing a black ski mask and dark clothing. In the early morning of Sunday, March 17, a male student was mugged at Wyoming Road and South Chapel Street. Around 3 a.m., Sunday, March 17, two students were robbed at gunpoint at Towne Court Apartments. Anyone with information on the first three incidents is asked to contact the Newark Police Department's Criminal Investigation Unit, telephone (302) 366-7120. Anyone with information on the armed robbery on March 17 should contact the New Castle County Police at 395-8171. Or call Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
