HHMI scholars hold pre-national competition poster session April 9

Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) scholars at the University of Delaware will hold a pre-national competition poster session in the skylight area of the McKinley Laboratory basement from noon to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 9.

Faculty, students and the public are encouraged to visit the exhibition; question students about the research depicted in the posters and enjoy refreshments. The mock session will give the seven competing scholars a feel for the real thing and feedback from faculty and students will help them improve their presentations before they compete in New Orleans on April 22.

The Undergraduate Research Poster Session Competition, sponsored by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, takes place during the 2002 Experimental Biology Meetings April 20-24.

UD scholars competed for the first time last year, and three of the six won top honors.
