Master Gardener workshops begin Sept. 17

Sept. 3, 2002--The Master Gardeners of New Castle County will offer several home gardening workshops to area residents this fall. All materials will be provided, and sessions will be held at UD’s Fischer Greenhouse, unless otherwise noted.

Scheduled workshops are:

• Design Your Dream Landscape (three sessions), 7-9 p.m., Tuesdays, Sept 17, 24 and Oct. 1, fee $48;

• Bulbs Indoors and Out, 7-9 p.m., Thursday, Sept 19, fee $12;

• Shade Gardening, 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25, fee $12;

• Water-Wise Gardening, 7-9 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, fee $12;

• Go Native, 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Sept. 28, New Castle County Cooperative Extension Building, 910 South Chapel St., fee $18;

• Trees—From Saplings to Seniors, 7-9 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, fee $12;

• Orchids on Your Windowsill: Introduction, 7-9 p.m., Monday, Oct, 28, fee $18;

• Orchids on Your Windowsill: Intermediate, 7-9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, fee $18;

• Puzzled by Pruning?, 7-9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, fee $18; • You Can’t Not Compost, 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19. fee $12; and

• Holiday Wreath Making (chose either date), 9-11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, or Saturday, Dec. 14, fee $18.
