Dec. 19, 2002—Carolyn D. Freed, 60, who served for many years as a nursing instructor at the University of Delaware, died Dec. 10.

Ms. Freed received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Colorado and a doctorate in nursing from the University of Maryland.
