Blue Hen football tickets available for 2002 season
 

June 21, 2002--With new coach K.C. Keeler at the helm, the Fightin’ Blue Hens will open the 2002 football season against Georgia Southern on Tubby Raymond Day, Thursday, Aug. 29.

Pre-game ceremonies will feature the official dedication of Tubby Raymond Field, honoring Harold R. “Tubby” Raymond, who recently retired after leading his team to 300 victories in 36 seasons as head coach of the Fightin’ Blue Hens.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. game are $19 for grandstand section K (section D is sold out), $17 for east and west grandstands and $12 for the north end zone. North end zone tickets for children under 12 are $5 (limit of four) with the purchase of at least one adult ticket.

Individual game tickets are available at the Bob Carpenter Center or by calling UD1-HENS, and from Kent and Sussex Counties by calling 1-800-695-HENS. Tickets also may be purchased from TicketMaster online or by calling 984-2000 in Delaware or (215) 336-2000 in Pennsylvania. A service charge may apply.

Season tickets for east and west grandstands $96 and $66 for north end zone seats. Family four-packs in sections G and H are $150. For information on ticket availability call 831-2257.

Parking prices for the season at four lots close to Delaware Stadium range from $75 to $250, depending on the space and lot. For information and to order season parking tickets, call 831-2257.

The 2002 schedule also includes games on:

Sept. 7, at Richmond, 3 p.m.;

Sept. 14, at The Citadel, 2 p.m.;

Sept. 21, at home against West Chester, 7 p.m. (Band Day);

Sept. 28, at William and Mary, 1 p.m.;

Oct. 5, at home against Northeastern, 1 p.m. (Freshman Parents Day/Delaware Stadium 50th anniversary);

Oct. 12, at home against James Madison, noon (Homecoming);

Oct. 19, at Rhode Island, noon;

Oct. 26, at home against New Hampshire, noon (Parents Day);

Nov. 2, at Massachusetts, time to be announced;

Nov. 9 at Maine, noon;

Nov. 16, open date; and

Nov. 23, at home against Villanova (Hall of Fame Day).
