Ecuadorian author to speak May 2

The Hispanic and Latin American Concerns Office at the University of Delaware will be presenting “A Conversation with Antonio Farias,” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, in rooms 209/211 of the Trabant University Center.

Farias, a freelance writer of Ecuadorian background and professor of Latino studies at Hunter College, has published in a variety of venues, including an essay entitled “My Own Private Ecuador” in Urban Latino magazine.

He has worked as an academic counselor and taught courses in Latino politics, Chicano/Latino literature and ethnic and Latino film.
