Fall Fund for Delaware telephone campaign underway

Oct. 4, 2002--More than 100 current UD students are busy this fall making telephone calls to garner support for the Fund for Delaware, an annual fund-raising program that seeks financial support from alumni, parents, friends and employees. Besides generating contributions to the University, the program gives alumni and parents an opportunity to talk directly to students about what’s happening on campus, share news and comments and to have their questions answered.

The University accepts both restricted and unrestricted gifts. Restricted gifts allow donors to designate exactly where they want their gifts to go. The University directs unrestricted gifts to areas where the needs are the greatest at any given time. Gifts may be designated for a specific college or department, scholarships and fellowships, student life and athletics or the Morris Library.

There are many ways to give—including online by credit card, by phone using a credit card, or by check, as well as such options as a gift of stock or a matching gift.

For more information, call 831-8640, go to [www.udel.edu/Development/page2/annual.html], or send an e-mail to [annualgiving@udel.edu].
