Maintenance work planned this week on area expressways

The Delaware Department of Transportation has scheduled maintenance operations on many area expressways Nov. 26-30.

The following is a breakdown of locations, times and work to be done:

I-95

I-95 southbound will have two left lanes closed from the toll plaza to the Maryland-Delaware state line for maintenance operations. This nighttime work will be completed between 10 p.m.-5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, and Thursday, Nov. 29.

I-95 and I-495 will have intermittent left lane closures from Route 141 to the Pennsylvania line for maintenance operations between 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Nov. 30.

I-295

I-295 eastbound will have left lane closures from the I-95/I-295 southbound split to I-95 northbound overpass for maintenance operations. This work will be done between 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Nov. 30.

I-295 westbound will have right lane closures from I-95 northbound to I-95 southbound for pavement repairs. This work will be done between 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Nov. 30.

I-295 westbound at the I-95 overpass will have left and/or right shoulder closures for bridge repairs. This work will be done between 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Nov. 30.

State Route 1

Route 1 northbound and southbound will have a right lane closure from Route 72 to the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal for bridge inspections. This work will be done between 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Nov. 30.

Route 1 southbound will have a right lane closure from I-95 to Route 40 for maintenance operations. This work will be done between 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Nov. 30.

Route 1 northbound will have a right lane closure from Route 273 to the Christiana Mall Road for bridge inspections. This work will be done between 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Nov. 30.

Route 896

Route 896 northbound at Christina Creek will have right and/or left shoulder closures for bridge repairs. This work will be done between 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Nov. 30.
