David Herman to perform March 3
 

The Jefferson Organ Recital Series will continue with a performance by University of Delaware organist David Herman at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 3, in Bayard Sharp Hall.

Herman, Trustees Distinguished Professor of Music, will perform a recital of 20th-century American organ music. The program will feature a variety of music by composers ranging from William Albright to Scott Joplin.

Herman has performed recitals in North America, Britain and Germany. A member of the University of Delaware faculty since 1987, he also is the organist at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Newark.

Admission for the concert is $10 per person. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Bob Carpenter Center or Trabant University Center box office (call UD1-HENS for box office information) or by phone through TicketMaster for an additional service charge (302 984-2000). Tickets may also be purchased at the door, subject to availability.
