DART announces ozone alert for Thursday, Aug. 1
 

July 31, 2002--An ozone alert has been issued for Thursday, Aug. 1, as high temperatures and humidity are expected.

Ozone alerts are declared when ground-level ozone concentrations are expected to exceed the federal health-based air quality standard.

On such days, the public can ride DART First State fixed routes buses for free in the morning hours until noon.
