Police are investigating four unrelated incidents that have occurred recently near the campus. At this time, there is no evidence that these crimes are related.

Student assaulted near campus March 13 (March 14, 2002)
Newark Police are investigating an incident that happened about 10:15 p.m., Wednesday, March 13. A female student was jogging on East Park Place near Chapel Street when she was grabbed from behind by a man wearing a black ski mask and dark clothing.

Police investigate attempted rape (March 13, 2002)
The Newark Police Department is investigating a reported attempted rape early Sunday morning of a 19-year-old woman who was visiting at School Lane Apartments.
