Early arrival advised

May 24, 2002--Families and friends of University of Delaware degree candidates are encouraged to arrive early at Delaware Stadium for the 153rd Spring Commencement on Saturday, May 25.

The ceremonies will begin at 9 a.m., and degree candidates and guests should plan to arrive at the stadium by 8 a.m.

Because of the size of the event, with the football stadium generally filled, traffic congestion should be anticipated.

If possible, plan to meet at a location other than Delaware Stadium and then carpool or walk to the stadium.

All degree candidates will line up for the procession on the field adjacent to Delaware Stadium prior to the start of the ceremony and should plan to be assembled in their academic procession by 8:30 a.m.
