Campus informed of security programs

Oct. 2, 2002--All members of the University community—students, faculty and staff—will receive information on campus security via electronic mail, in keeping with regulations of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act.

Since the security and safety of all members of the University community are of vital concern, the e-mail from the Department of Public Safety advises that individuals become informed about the issues, policies and services offered by Public Safety by visiting [www.udel.edu/PublicSafety/welcome.htm].

The web site includes information on the authority of University Police, campus disciplinary procedures and campus crime statistics for the last three years. Also included are links to details on parking services and UD’s Emergency Care Unit, as well as safety tips.

The information also may also be requested from the Department of Public Safety by calling the Crime Prevention Unit at 831-2683.
