Free bus rides available to Coast Day on Oct. 6

Sept. 27, 2002--Explore a treasure chest of activities on Coast Day, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Hugh R. Sharp Campus in Lewes. As an added bonus, round-trip bus transportation will be provided free of charge to University students, employees and their immediate families, thanks to the Office of Alumni and University Relations.

Buses will depart from the Robinson Hall parking lot at 9 a.m., arriving in Lewes at approximately 11 a.m. They will depart from Lewes at 4 p.m. and return to Newark by 6 p.m.

Reservations are necessary and must be made by the end of the business day on Thursday, Oct. 3, by calling the Marine Public Education Office at 831-8083.

Hosted by the UD Sea Grant College Program and the College of Marine Studies, the popular, award-winning event offers dozens of fun, educational activities to celebrate the sea and increase public awareness and understanding of marine resources. Admission is free; parking is $2.
