Oct. 22, 2002--Brent R. Noyes, 50, University of Delaware friend and benefactor, died Oct. 18, 2002. Dr. Noyes and several of his partners were major contributors to the University’s campaign for the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center, helping to fund the Sports Medicine Office.

A native of Delaware, he received his bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College and was graduated from Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia. After his orthopedic residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Dr. Noyes moved back to Wilmington and began practicing orthopedic medicine. He served as sports team physician for several area high schools.
