Blue-White game May 4 at Delaware Stadium

A large crowd is expected for the University of Delaware’s annual Blue-White scrimmage, which will be played under the lights Saturday, May 4, at Delaware Stadium. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.

This will be the first Blue-White game for new head coach K.C. Keeler, who took the reins March 5 after a successful career as head coach at NCAA Division III power Rowan University.

Keeler, a former UD linebacker, follows Tubby Raymond as just the fourth Delaware head coach since 1940. Raymond retired Feb. 18 after firmly securing his place in football history by becoming just the fourth coach in history to win 300 games at one institution.

The May 4 scrimmage takes on added interest not just because of the change in head coach but also because of a change in offense. After decades using the vaunted Delaware Wing-T offense, Keeler and the Blue Hens will move to a wide open, no huddle attack.
