Blue-Gold football stars to meet June 29

June 10, 2002--The 47th annual Delaware Blue-Gold All-Star football game, featuring top players from the state's high schools, will be held Saturday, June 29, at Delaware Stadium.

Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. Pregame activities will begin at 4 p.m.

General admission is $7. For tickets, call (302) 454-2730.

The game, which benefits the DFRC Inc., was first played in 1956 with the support of two local sports enthusiasts, Jim Williams and Bob Carpenter, the latter one of UD's most important benefactors and namesake of the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocaton Center.
