June 26, 2002--Shirley C. Bixby, who taught in the School of Education in 2000-01, died June 24, 2002. A 1957 UD graduate, she taught English in the Brandywine School District from 1957 until she retired in 1997.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 503 Duncan Rd., Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810.
