Sept. 11, 2002--The University of Delaware National Service Programs, in cooperation with the Mid-Atlantic Office of the Corporation for National and Community Service, will host a call to service from 4:30-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12, in the multipurpose rooms in Trabant University Center.

The Call to Service program will present a range of community-building service opportunities in local, state and regional communities. During the event, community leaders will talk about the value of service in developing leadership skills.

The program features the film, “Everyday Heroes,” which will set the stage for a discussion about civic engagement and youth leadership. A buffet dinner will be served. For more information, call Melva Ware at 831-0883.
