Wanted: True-blue UD alumni to serve on the University of Delaware Alumni Association Board of Directors. Three men and three women are selected annually to serve three-year terms on the board, which consists of three officers, 24 directors and the immediate past president. Interested alumni are encouraged to volunteer to serve or to nominate an alumnus or alumna.
The nominees must be UD alumni (defined as completing a minimum of 30 credit hours); should have an interest in serving on the board and one or more committees (awards, executive, finance, merchandise and benefits, nominating, scholarship, outreach and travel); and be willing to attend three board meetings a year on the campus.
Nominations are due Jan. 10, and new members begin their terms July 1, 2003.
The Alumni Association was founded in 1846 to advance the interest, influence and purpose of the University of Delaware, to maintain and influence the cause of education and to promote beneficial relations among its members, between the University and the association, and between the undergraduate body and the association. All UD graduates are automatically members of the Alumni Association.
