July 1, 2002--George T. Alderson Jr., 69, who taught in the Parallel Program in Georgetown, died June 25, 2002.

A graduate of Salisbury University, he received his master’s degree in education from UD in 1970. He retired from the Christina School District in 1991 after teaching mathematics and computer science for 26 years. He also taught at Padua Academy and Wesley, Cecil Community, Wilmington and Delaware Technical and Community colleges.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, at the Trinity Methodist Church, Chesapeake City, Md., where friends may meet with the family at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VFW Post #7234, c/o the R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915.
