MS-150 Bike to the Bay begins Oct. 5

Sept. 26, 2002--When the University Derailleurs begin their state-long trek to the beach as part of the MS-150 Bike to the Bay, Oct. 5-6, it will mark a decade of participating as a team for the group of UD community members.

All students, employees, alumni and friends of UD are welcome to participate in the 150-mile race from Smyrna to Dewey Beach that benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Each rider is required to raise a minimum of $200, and all contributions are tax deductible.

During the past decade, the UD team has raised more than $33,000 to support MS research and programs to help those afflicted. A portion of the money raised this year will be returned to the University to help fund the MS Assessment Clinic.

To join, or make a pledge, call Jerry Hendricks at (302) 831-1393 or visit [http://udel.edu/~hendrick].
