Writer to discuss cross-cultural relationships on Oct 23Cuban-American author Christina Garcia will speak on Dreaming in Cuban, Living in America at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, in 007 Willard Hall Education Building, as part of events celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at UD. The talk will focus on the diverse experience of living in both the United States and Cuba, and how this dual culture has affected her work and her life. Her novels examine the delicate ties that exist between inter-generational women in cross-cultural families. The author of Dreaming in Cuban and The Aguero Sisters, Garcia is a graduate of Columbia University and is the former Miami Bureau chief for Time magazine.
