July 1, 2002--DART First State statewide services, both fixed route and paratransit, will not operate on Thursday, July 4, with the exception of the Resort Transit Routes 201-208, its related paratransit service and the new Route 305-Beach Connection.
Resort Transit Routes 201-208 operate seven days a week through Sept. 2, serving Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Georgetown, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island and Ocean City, Md.
The Route 305-Beach Connection, which connects Wilmington and Dover with Rehoboth Beach, operates on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays through Sept. 2. Bus stops include Rodney Square, Wilmington Amtrak Station, Christiana Mall, Smyrna Rest Stop, DelDOT in Dover and the
Rehoboth Beach Park & Ride.
SEPTA R2 will not operate within Delaware. It will operate on a Sunday schedule from Marcus Hook, Pa.
On Friday, July 5, DART First State statewide services will operate with regular service. SEPTA R2 will operate on a modified schedule, serving Wilmington and Claymont. DART First State will provide bus service between Wilmington, Churchmans Crossing and Newark.
